ALYTH CREATES
Crochet is a wonderful pliable way to work with yarn.
I will be in Alyth Town Hall over the weekend demonstrating some tips for getting started.
Here is a wee example. I wasn’t terribly impressed with this motif and initially laid it aside. I then decided to add some surface crochet and changed the look entirely!

Thanks for all the fun Dundee Fun A Day!
(It all started off on Hogmanay when somebody handed me a strange object and asked – “What can you do with this? Take it away and have a go!” So my Funaday project was finding out what I could do with a six foot shed skin from a boa constrictor!)
If you want to see what I did come along to the FunADay Exhibition this weekend.
It’s in WASP studios, Meadowmill, West Henderson Wynd, Dundee. The opening night is on Friday 10 February from 7 – 9pm. The Exhibition runs from 10.00am – 7.00pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Here are some photographs I took of the fun I had during the month.

I always encourage learners to keep all their first attempts at learning.
Firstly because people learn a lot from their mistakes, so having the mistake in hand at that “how did I sort this one out last time?”moment really helps jog the memory. Secondly, because it is such an encouragement to see how far you have come.
I asked the students to bring all stages of their work in at the end of the course to show off their progress. Here are some photographs of the work they produced. Thank you for allowing me to use your photos, and my apologies for not getting them posted sooner.

An overview of students’ work

and again, more work.
