Ever since I heard of it I have wanted to have a go at yarnbombing. So when The Fit O’ The Toon Community Association in Arbroath decided to have a go at doing some at Danger Point, I join them.
It’s a lot of creative fun getting together once a week with a group of lovely creative people, who chose the name the Wooly Workers.
The bombing targets are the restored drying green poles, lampposts, gateways and other street furniture in the immediate area. The full installation is due to go up at the end of May and will stay in place for a couple of weeks.
There are lots of inspired works already completed or in progress. We now have a facebook group where you can catch up on progress and the latest news of the installation of the bombing! https://www.facebook.com/woollyworkers/
Come along to the Mavericks Art Group event on 2nd and 3rd December. My artwork will be in there too.
Hosted by Amy Mason, at her beautiful studio, Bluebird Arts, it is an opportunity to see and buy work by many talented artists and crafters, in a lovely relaxed atmosphere.
It’s getting nearer every day! As a member of the Mavericks Art Group I will be at Hallgreen Castle on Saturday, 9th, Saturday 16th, and Sunday 17th, exhibiting my work and giving demonstrations of crochet.
There is also a huge amount of delightful work by other artists and more demonstrations.
For full details see Mavericks Art@MavericksArtGroup.

Sam Baxter – sambaxterart – has very kindly sent me these photographs of my work from the above event. Thanks for all the hard work you put into this event Sam!
Big huge thanks to all of you in the Fun A Day Dundee team for all the hard work you put into this event. It was an absolute pleasure to take part.
Here are a few more photographs of the fun I had. Enjoy!
Well, I’m a crochet tutor! So the first thing I saw when I looked at this shed snakeskin was a beautiful lacy crochet pattern. Don’t know quite how it would turn out or what I might use it for. Maybe give this a try out sometime and see if it can be made into a working pattern. Probably would need a more delicate name than Boa’s Belly Stitch though!
I really like this idea – creating just for the fun of it.
Who knows where it might lead 🙂
Here are some of my works for sale at Hallgreen Castle, Inverbervie, NEOS venue 130.
